Serves 4-6 as part of a traditional Indian meal.
Ingredients
- 1 cup or half a fresh coconut scraped/grated/chopped
- 4-5 dry medium spicy red chillies (byadgi is the preferred choice)
- 6 cloves of garlic
- a small lemon sized ball of tamarind
- rock salt to taste
Method
Grind all the ingredients together with as little water as possible to make a fine paste.
This chutney is a traditional accompaniment with idlis, wadas, dosas, etc.
This is a Whole-Food Plant-Based (WFPB) chutney!
